Born on September 26, 1963 in Igbara-Oke, Ondo State, Nigeria, Engr. Gbenga Olu Komolafe had his elementary education at the Catholic Primary School and secondary education at the Anglican Grammar School both at Igbara-Oke.

A versatile individual, he acquired University degrees in diverse professional backgrounds and has gathered over sixteen (16) years working experience in the public sector. He joined the PPPRA in June, 2004 as a Management Staff.

He has attended several Professional and Management training courses locally and abroad in downstream petroleum industry specific areas such as:

• International Oil Trading course organized by CITAC (London)
• International Oil Refining, Transportation, Supply and Trading course organized by Oxford Princeton Institute (Oxford)
• Training on Implementation of the Open-Access Regime/Regulation of the Downstream Petroleum Sector (Houston & Associate)

He is married with children.
